Director of human resources for Georgia Public Broadcasting headquartered
  in Atlanta, Mel Jones represents a joint (TV and radio) state licensee. 

  He served in the United States Air Force for 26 years; served as a personnel
  manager with the State of Georgia for two years; director of personnel,
  Georgia Department of Technical & Adult Education; and has been a
  classification and compensation analyst, State Merit System. 

  He has been a PBMA member for ten years.  Mel is a member of the
  Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), International Public
  Management Association for Human Resources, Council for State
  Personnel Administration, and SHRM Atlanta. 

  He holds a bachelor of science degree in social psychology and a master
  of science degree in public administration.
