On-air pledge seems so easy.
Just turn on the microphones or cameras and ask for money.
Pledge is deceptively “cheap” because the costs are so often
hidden. This session is about understanding the true cost of
pledge, in terms of money and audience good will, and making
informed decisions about the role of pledge within a balanced
fundraising program.
In reality, on-air fundraising has become
increasingly expensive. And with premium costs up and first year
renewal of on-air acquired members down, it’s no longer the
acquisition medium many still believe it to be. In fact, its role
in generating cash flow may be over-rated.
CFOs play a vital, positive, role in both the long-term financial
growth and stability of their stations and in guaranteeing members,
donors, and contributors that their institutions are worth stewards
of their funds – that the vast majority of contributions actually
fund the programming and services you provide.

interactive one-hour audio seminar.
