Description:

By the end of 2010, the top 50 radio markets in the United States
will have completed conversion to a new electronic system for measuring listening:  Arbitron's Portable People Meter, or PPM.

By greatly expanding the amount of listener data available to us,
PPM technology will enable the public radio system to develop new, more informed strategies for audience and revenue growth.  Dave Sullivan of the Radio Research Consortium (which holds public radio's Arbitron license on behalf of the system) will walk you through key concepts that every radio or joint licensee financial manager should understand about this revolutionary new technology, even if your station is not in a PPM market.

Presenter  Dave Sullivan, Manager, PPM Client Services at the Radio Research Consortium (RRC)
Producer:   Deborah Lein, DEI
